This is the second part of my video with my "disciple" Richard Cris. All passing tricks are original except for the first one which was inspired by David Cain and Jay Gilligan's 1994 IJA Gold Metal Act.

Had to film something before the winter's coming.
I didn't practice any numbers lately, so this is mostly a technical 1d, 2d video.
Just some integral combos I like, only a few tricks are really new.
P.S. Not all clips are at best quality, since I had some issues with the rendering (I was dumb enough to film at two framerates :( ). The quality on YouTube is better.

As another season draws to a close, it's time for another edit of strange and unusual kendama skills. As per usual, 90 minutes of filming, expertly trimmed down by Pete, who also provided his garden as a suitably autumnal backdrop. Short clip of plate spinning on table from 4th Cirque de Demain 1980. The spinner is from the Cairo Circus School. It's only a short clip, but has some nice close-ups of the spinning technique.
This type of plate spinning used to be called "waltzing plates".

This form of staff juggling now seems to be commonly called "fei-cha".
It comes from the traditional Chinese acrobatic repertoire, and in chinese acrobatics books and videos that I have seen it is translated as "trident manipulation".
The trident has loose elements at the head, which make the jangling sound - it's often a very noisy act.
This spinner is Mohamed Badr El Nouby from the Cairo Circus School.

BoB (Bristols Other Bristol) Juggling convention in the UK, 1999 (BoB1) was held in the University of Bristol Students Union, and the show was in The Winston Theater.
I've made no attempt to contact the performers in this 16 year old video, so if you're in this video and would prefer I took it down - please say so and I will remove it!
NB - This video is a bit dark, because UV staff doesn't really show up very well on 1990s video camera equipment. It's included in this collection for completeness
